Battery TabIt is a component of lithium-ion polymer battery products. Usually, we divide batteries into positive and negative electrodes. The battery tabs are metal conductors that lead the positive and negative electrodes out of the battery cell. Generally speaking, the positive and negative electrodes of the battery are the contact points during charging and discharging.
The functions of the battery tabs are "connection, conduction, and sealing". Connection refers to the connection between the inside and outside of the battery. The connection between the label rubber and the aluminum-plastic film. Conductivity means that it absorbs electricity and creates a circuit through the label. Sealing refers to the seal between the rubber strip and the metal strip and the seal between the rubber strip and the aluminum-plastic film.
Classification according to the material of the metal strip of the battery ear:
We divide the battery tabs into three materials. We use aluminum (Al) material as the positive electrode of the battery. We use nickel (Ni) material as the negative electrode. And nickel-plated copper (Ni-Cu) material can also be used for the negative electrode. They are composed of two parts. Film and metal strip. The film is the insulating part on the pole piece. Its function is to prevent short circuit between the metal strip and the aluminum-plastic film when the battery is packaged. We heat it (about 140℃) and prevent leakage by heat sealing with the aluminum-plastic film.
Classification according to the material of the metal strip of the battery tab
1) Aluminum (Al) sheet: generally used as the positive electrode sheet. If the battery is a lithium titanate negative electrode sheet, it is also used as the negative electrode sheet.
2) Nickel (Ni) sheet: usually used as negative electrode. Mainly used in small digital batteries, such as mobile phone batteries, mobile power batteries, tablet batteries, smart transmission equipment batteries, etc.
3) Copper-nickel (Ni-Cu) plate: used as negative electrode plate, mainly used in dry power batteries and high-rate batteries.
