Battery TabIt is a component of soft-pack lithium-ion battery products. The battery is divided into positive and negative electrodes. The battery tab is the metal conductor between the positive and negative electrodes in the battery cell, which is usually called the charge and discharge contact point. The positive electrode is made of aluminum (Al), the negative electrode is made of nickel (Ni), and the negative electrode is also made of nickel-plated copper (Ni-Cu), which are all composited by film and metal strips.

According to the material of the metal sheet:

(1) Aluminum (Al) tab: Generally used as the positive electrode. If the battery has a lithium titanate negative electrode, it is also used as the negative electrode.

(2) Nickel (Ni) tab: used as the negative electrode, mainly used in small digital batteries, such as mobile phone batteries, mobile power batteries, tablet computers batteries, smart transmission equipment batteries, etc.

(3) Nickel-plated copper (Ni-Cu) tabs: used as negative electrode tabs, mainly used in power batteries and high-rate batteries.

Classification by Lug Rubber (Domestic Market)

(1) Black battery tabs: generally used for low-end digital small batteries.

(2) Yellow battery tabs: Generally used for low-end power batteries and high-rate batteries.

(3) White battery tabs: generally used in high-end digital batteries, power batteries and high-rate batteries.
