The functional layer of DNP black glue, PEN and PPa layer, is composed of different materials. After being soaked in electrolyte, the interface is increasingly debonded and peeled off. In the black glue PPa layer, there are three different melting point materials, black pigment: 66\u2103, PE 105\u2103, PP 167\u2103, which makes the interface more unstable.<\/p>\n

The functional layer of the yellow glue polarity itself has a melting point of more than 300\u00b0C, which makes it easier to operate during heat sealing. The intermediate functional layer uses a non-woven fiber layer to replace the original polyethylene glycol naphthyl ester. The interface fusion effect is better than black glue, but it still cannot solve the problem of complete fusion between different substances. Due to the process reasons of the yellow glue PPa layer, it will become hard and lose elasticity after heat sealing. When encapsulating the battery and post-processing (converting to nickel, adding plates), the plate glue and metal sheets will be easily broken, causing the battery to leak and gas expansion.<\/p>\n

White glue is made of three layers of PP materials with different functions. The heat sealing temperature of the functional layer is wide, 165~167\u2103, slightly lower than the battery packaging temperature (180~220\u2103), which can effectively prevent short circuits on the cut surface, increase the operating temperature range of battery packaging, and improve the yield rate of battery production.<\/p>\n

Due to the use of PP layer technology, the yellow rubber ear will become extremely hard and lose its elasticity after heat sealing. During battery packaging and subsequent processing (nickel conversion, plate adding), the rubber and metal of the rubber ear will break, causing battery leakage and gas expansion. The white rubber ear can still maintain high elasticity after heat sealing because the three functional layers are made of the same material (PP type).<\/p>\n

Comparison between white film and single layer white glue<\/p>\n

Single-layer white glue is similar to the original inner layer of aluminum-plastic film. Because it has only one melting point, the heat sealing temperature exceeds the melting point, which easily leads to complete melting and short circuit. If the heat sealing temperature is not enough to soften, the CPP layer of the aluminum-plastic film will not be completely melted and polymerized, and the battery will easily leak and swell. For the three-layer white film, since the outer layer uses a material similar to the inner layer of the aluminum-plastic film, it ensures the fusion with the aluminum-plastic film, and the temperature difference between the surface modified PP and the middle layer PP is large, the heat sealing temperature is wide, making the packaging more operable and ensuring the reliability of the packaging between the film glue and the aluminum-plastic film. The following table is a comparison of the relief hard seal test of the 80\u03bcm thick three-layer white glue film and the 80\u03bcm thick single-layer white glue film.<\/p>\n

As mentioned above, the outer layer of the three-layer white glue convex dot is made of a material similar to the inner layer of the aluminum-plastic film. The wider heat-sealing temperature ensures the fusion with the aluminum-plastic film, and the obvious temperature difference between the 3 layers of PP makes the packaging more operable.<\/p>\n
