Battery TabProduction process flow chart:

1. Physical hot pressing process: The physical hot pressing process mainly uses contact heating, that is, the heating tube heats the heater, the heater is pressed on the metal belt, and heated multiple times to heat the metal belt to a certain temperature to dissolve the film.

As shown in the figure below, first install the metal belt on the fuser, then use the rotating wheel to flatten the metal belt, and perform the first heating in the heating area to make the film stick to the metal belt. The second heating will expel the bubbles between the metal belt and the film, and the upper and lower layers of the film will stick together. The temperature needs to be set according to the melting point of the film, generally between 150-175℃, and the time is 4-6 seconds. The third step is to heat the metal belt. It is important to melt and shrink the film on the metal surface and the chamfered part to form a heating line to seal the hollow area of the chamfered part. The general temperature is between 190-220℃, and the time is 4-6 seconds. Then the temperature is lowered by physical pressing to form the appearance state. After single-piece cutting and CCD size inspection, the defective products are thrown into the waste box, and the good products are cut with R angles. Finally, they are stacked in the finished product box to complete the production and processing of the tabs.

2. High-frequency hot pressing process: High-frequency hot pressing process mainly uses the principle of electromagnetic induction, converts electromagnetic induction into a magnetic field of the same frequency through an inductor coil, and then acts on the metal strip in the magnetic field. Using the eddy current effect, an induced rotating current (i.e. eddy current) proportional to the magnetic field strength is generated in the metal strip. The rotating current is converted into heat energy through the resistance in the metal strip, causing the temperature of the metal strip to rise rapidly, dissolving the film and achieving the purpose of rapid heating.

As shown in the figure below, the metal strip is first installed on the fixture, leveled by the rotating wheel, and heated for the first time in the heating zone so that the metal strip is preheated and the film is pasted on the metal strip. The second and third heatings will expel the bubbles between the metal strip and the film, and also expel the paste between the upper and lower layers of the film. The temperature needs to be set according to the melting point of the film, generally between 160-200°C, and the time is 3-4 seconds. In the fourth step, the product releases energy through a high-frequency machine. It is necessary to quickly heat the metal strip to melt and shrink the film to form a heating line and seal the cavity area of the inverted part. Generally, the current energy needs to reach about 250°C for 2-4 seconds, and then the appearance is formed by low-temperature pressing, and then cut into single pieces, and finally stored in the finished product box or directly put the product coil into the tray to complete the production and processing of the tab.
